Dig!!! It keeps you grounded

WOOOOOF!!

Mom is so ready for bed but wanted to put a quick blog entry in for me. She has been so busy building a fence, that she hasn't had time to type.  I have a real issue with the Fence but that's a whole different blog entry.

Dig, Dig, Dig!!  I think digging is Funtastic! It's even better if you hit mud!  I love MUD!!  When I dig mud flings everywhere and sticks to everything. It is AWESOME.  Mud is good for your coat; it keeps me cool on hot days, feels great on the belly, ouzzies between my toes, humans even take bathes in it.
When I dig I create my own spa to lay in!!  Digging just makes me feel good, it connects me to the dirt and I love dirt.  I hate water.  Mud has water in it but I love MUD!!

I also hardly ever use my bedroom anymore. I like being where the humans are so I use their bed. It has more pillows and a wonderful comforter to lay on.  Mom says that she purchased a special water proof/Mud proof mattress pad for my bed and I should lay there...... NAY, her bed is better.  Plus I can share my latest discovery with her MUD!!

When Mom came home from work tonight, she looked a little rough. She says when I greet her and give her the biggest hug, it makes everything better.  I told her its because I dig in MUD.  It keeps me happy! I explained that if she came home and started digging in one of my mud spas/holes she would feel GREAT!!  She said Awesome!!  "Awesome new discovery you have there Gunther"   Mom just needs to try a lil digging and she'll agree with me!!

3am and Moms eyes are drooping the late night caffeinated beverage she accidentally had, not realizing how late it was, is wearing off.

So, Here's a couple of pics to end with.  Mom hasn't taken a pic of me digging yet but that will come  cuz it's my new favorite thing!!

Taking the old Fence to the dump with my Family: I love the dump!!

Sleeping on Mom's pillow.... This is definitely better than my bed!!

Dig it's Good for you!!

I have a High IQ!!

Woof!!
Mom hasn't been in the typing mood lately so, sorry for the delayed update.  If only I had hands instead of paws, I could update this me self!!  Mom agreed to fore go Olympic coverage to update my blog. She said USA soccer and beach volley ball rocks with Gold metals!! Whatever!!!  What would a dog do with a gold metal?!? Give me chicken then we'll talk.

So, I'm finally letting some of my cards be shown.  I am SMART!! Not that my new parents didn't think I was smart but maybe they didn't anticipate my level of smartness!

For instance:

1.  I convinced my P's, that I only care about chicken and turn my nose up at everything else.  But, little did they know, chocolate chip cookies run a close second .  While my mom went on an errand, I was able to tip over a plate of C.C. cookies , that unfortunately was almost empty, off the stove and onto the floor.  Mom said fortunately, I only ate a couple because the plate did a belly flop and landed on top of most of the cookies. STINK!  Mom says, now,  nothing left on top of the stove for my curiosity!!

2.  Dad took me on errands but neglected to fill my car water container that mom has rigged for me.  So, I took it upon myself to open my own water bottle, in front of Dad, and poured my water into a cup holder than drank my own water.  I was trying to show dad how to pour me water but he was pretty amazed that I could do it myself.

3. I think I picked up some vibes from Max. He must have come to influence my behavior  because today I made my first unexpected escape and bolt to the local park!!  What fun that was! Dad was opening the back fence to let his friend in to introduce him to me.  I could tell his friend wasn't a dog lover but a cat lover!! So,, I pushed Dad aside and ran like the wind!!  Because I am so friendly and love kids, I let some kids at the park snag me and Dad caught up with me.  But what fun that was!! My P's were not too happy with me! They are now on heightened alert for my craftiness in escaping== whatever!!

4. I barked and warned my P's when Sasha wasn't looking so good. She was confused and trying to find her bed but was lost in the living room.  I let the P's know and they were very happy I was looking after my sister.

5. My smartest move is greeting Mom every night after work!! Sasha Roo told me it's a must do and mom loves it. Every night she gives us a midnight treat when I greet her.  It's like an after dinner mint  put on hotel pillows-- at least I've heard of this, though I've not actually experianced this human tradition.

Time for PICS:
Heres a before and after!!

Adoption day 4/28/12
Present day 90+ pounds!!

After a bath- I'm Fluffy!!

When I don't want to get out of the car, I just stare at the P's!
My sister Roo!! She defies death at every turn! She is the best!!

That's  all folks!!  Happy to be alive,

The Gunth, AKA Gunny!
