Woof!!
Mom hasn't been in the typing mood lately so, sorry for the delayed update. If only I had hands instead of paws, I could update this me self!! Mom agreed to fore go Olympic coverage to update my blog. She said USA soccer and beach volley ball rocks with Gold metals!! Whatever!!! What would a dog do with a gold metal?!? Give me chicken then we'll talk.
So, I'm finally letting some of my cards be shown. I am SMART!! Not that my new parents didn't think I was smart but maybe they didn't anticipate my level of smartness!
For instance:
1. I convinced my P's, that I only care about chicken and turn my nose up at everything else. But, little did they know, chocolate chip cookies run a close second . While my mom went on an errand, I was able to tip over a plate of C.C. cookies , that unfortunately was almost empty, off the stove and onto the floor. Mom said fortunately, I only ate a couple because the plate did a belly flop and landed on top of most of the cookies. STINK! Mom says, now, nothing left on top of the stove for my curiosity!!
2. Dad took me on errands but neglected to fill my car water container that mom has rigged for me. So, I took it upon myself to open my own water bottle, in front of Dad, and poured my water into a cup holder than drank my own water. I was trying to show dad how to pour me water but he was pretty amazed that I could do it myself.
3. I think I picked up some vibes from Max. He must have come to influence my behavior because today I made my first unexpected escape and bolt to the local park!! What fun that was! Dad was opening the back fence to let his friend in to introduce him to me. I could tell his friend wasn't a dog lover but a cat lover!! So,, I pushed Dad aside and ran like the wind!! Because I am so friendly and love kids, I let some kids at the park snag me and Dad caught up with me. But what fun that was!! My P's were not too happy with me! They are now on heightened alert for my craftiness in escaping== whatever!!
4. I barked and warned my P's when Sasha wasn't looking so good. She was confused and trying to find her bed but was lost in the living room. I let the P's know and they were very happy I was looking after my sister.
5. My smartest move is greeting Mom every night after work!! Sasha Roo told me it's a must do and mom loves it. Every night she gives us a midnight treat when I greet her. It's like an after dinner mint put on hotel pillows-- at least I've heard of this, though I've not actually experianced this human tradition.
